What's In The Box

Verify before you start: Compare your old spindle’s spline (Ø10mm, 30 teeth), thread (Ø28mm x 1.5"), and overall length (53mm) to the dimensions shown in the listing — this spindle is designed for Jaguar-style Florentine wall & sink mixers only.
Installation

Step-by-Step Fitting

Work through each step in order — the left and right sides are fitted one at a time.

Turn the water back on and check both sides for smooth, leak-free operation.

Turn Off Water Supply

Shut off the water supply to the mixer before starting any repair work.
Remove the Handle or Knob

Unscrew and lift off the wall mixer’s handle or knob to expose the fitting underneath.
Take care: Note whether this is the left or right side before continuing.
Remove the Glassy
~1 min
Unscrew the decorative glassy (the collar beneath the handle) to access the spindle.
Remove the Old Spindle
~2 min
Unscrew and pull out the worn spindle from the mixer body.
Take care: If it feels stiff, avoid excessive force — a few gentle turns usually loosens it.
Clean the Mixer Body

Wipe out the socket to remove any old washer debris, scale, or grit before fitting the new spindle.
Fit the New Spindle (Check the Direction)

Fit the correct spindle — anticlockwise for the left side, clockwise for the right — into the cleaned socket and hand-tighten.
Take care: Fitting the wrong-direction spindle to a side will make the handle feel stiff or reversed — double check before tightening.
Repeat Steps 2–6 for the Other Side

Follow the same process — handle, glassy, spindle removal, cleaning, and fitting — for the second side of the mixer.
Restore Water Supply & Test

Reattach the glassy and handle, turn the water supply back on, and test both sides for smooth, leak-free operation.

Do

  • Turn off the water supply completely before starting
  • Compare the new spindle’s dimensions to your old one before fitting
  • Check which side (left/right) each spindle belongs to before installing
  • Clean the mixer body thoroughly before fitting the new spindle
  • Hand-tighten first, then snug with a wrench — avoid overtightening
  • Keep the old spindle until you’ve confirmed the new one fits and works

Don't

  • Force a spindle that doesn’t turn smoothly into place
  • Overtighten the handle or glassy — this can crack them
  • Mix up the left and right spindles
  • Use metal tools directly on the glassy without a protective cloth
  • Skip cleaning debris or scale from the body before fitting
  • Discard the old spindle before confirming the repair worked
