Verify before you start: Confirm your old spindle's dimensions match Ø35mm body diameter, Ø10mm 30-tooth spline head, and 120mm overall length — these are fixed to Jaguar-type flush valve systems and won't fit other valve types.

Turn Off the Water Supply

Locate the water supply or isolation valve for your toilet's flush valve and turn it off completely before you begin.
Remove the Old Spindle
~2 min
Access the flush valve body and unscrew the old, worn or leaking spindle by turning it counter-clockwise until it lifts free.
Take care: Old hardware can be stiff from mineral buildup — turn steadily rather than forcing it, to avoid damaging the valve body threads.
Compare Dimensions Before Fitting

Place the new spindle alongside your old one and confirm the body diameter (Ø35mm), spline head (Ø10mm, 30 teeth), and overall length (120mm) match.
Take care: If any dimension doesn't match, stop here and contact support rather than forcing an incorrect part into place.
Install the New JKC Spindle

Insert the new JKC 35mm spindle into the flush valve body and turn it clockwise by hand until snug.
Take care: Hand-tighten only — overtightening with a wrench can damage the O-ring seals and cause leaks.
Reassemble the Handle
~1 min
Reattach the flush handle or push-button assembly to the spindle, making sure it seats fully and turns freely through its full 90° range.
Test the Flush Action
~1 min
Turn the water supply back on, then operate the flush a few times to confirm smooth 90° operation.
Take care: Keep an eye on the valve body and connections for the first few flushes before considering the job fully done.
