Installation

Your flush valve cartridge is replaced. Give the flush a few more test presses to be sure everything's working smoothly.

Turn Off the Water Supply

Locate the water supply line feeding your flush valve and turn it off fully before starting.
Remove the Push-Button Cover
~2 min
Unscrew or unclip the push-button cover plate to expose the cartridge housing underneath.
Take care: Some cover plates thread on tightly — turn gently to avoid cracking the plastic.
Take Out the Old Cartridge

Turn the old cartridge counter-clockwise to unscrew it from the housing, then lift it out.
Take care: Old cartridges can be stiff from mineral buildup — use a wrench on the hex collar if it won't turn by hand, but avoid excessive force.
Fit the New Magnetic Cartridge

Align the splined drive head with the flush valve's push-button mechanism and thread the new 32mm cartridge into the housing.
Take care: Make sure the cartridge is fitted the correct way round — forcing it in misaligned can damage the splines.
Reassemble the Cover
~1 min
Screw or clip the push-button cover plate back into place.
Test the Flush

Turn the water supply back on and press the flush button a few times to confirm smooth, leak-free operation.

Do

  • Verify your old cartridge is 32mm with a 41mm hex nut before ordering
  • Turn off the water supply fully before starting
  • Align the splined drive head carefully when inserting the new cartridge
  • Hand-tighten the cartridge into the housing — no power tools needed
  • Keep the old cartridge until you've confirmed the new one works
  • Test the flush a few times before considering the job complete

Don't

  • Don't overtighten the cartridge into the housing
  • Don't force the cartridge if it doesn't align — recheck the spline orientation
  • Don't discard the old cartridge until installation is confirmed working
  • Don't use pipe wrenches or power tools on the plastic housing
  • Don't skip shutting off the water supply first
