Tools You’ll Need

What’s In The Box

Verify before you start: Confirm your existing cartridge matches these dimensions: 35mm base diameter, 23mm collar diameter, 7mm stem spline bore, 55mm total height. This cartridge is designed for imported Chinese-style waterfall/workstation sinks with a 3-way selector (“tik-tik”) knob system.

Nice work — all steps complete!

Your waterfall sink's selector knob should now switch smoothly across all modes.

Turn Off the Water Supply
~1 min
Locate the water supply valve beneath your sink and turn it fully off before starting any work.
Remove the Selector Knob
~2 min
Gently lift or unscrew the selector knob from the sink deck to expose the cartridge housing beneath it.
Take care: If the knob feels stuck, check for a small hidden set screw before pulling — don’t force it.
Access & Remove the Old Cartridge
~2 min
Unscrew the retaining nut around the cartridge housing and carefully lift out the old, worn cartridge.
Take care: Note the exact orientation of the old cartridge before removing it — the new one needs to sit the same way.
Fit the New JKC Cartridge
~2 min
Place the new 35mm ceramic disc cartridge into the housing in the same orientation as the old one, then hand-tighten the retaining nut.
Take care: Hand-tighten first, then snug gently with a wrench — overtightening can crack the housing.
Reassemble the Knob
~1 min
Refit the selector knob back onto the housing and secure it in place.
Test All Water Modes
~1 min
Turn the water supply back on and cycle through all 3 selector modes, checking for smooth switching and no leaks at the base.
Points To Take Care Of

Do's & Don'ts

The most common fitting mistakes — and how to avoid them.

Do

  • Verify the 35mm base diameter and 7mm stem spline match your old cartridge before fitting
  • Turn off the water supply fully before starting
  • Note the orientation of the old cartridge before removing it
  • Hand-tighten first, then snug with a wrench — avoid overtightening
  • Keep the old cartridge until you’ve confirmed the new one works
  • Test all 3 water modes before considering the job complete

Don't

  • Don’t force the selector knob if it feels stuck — check for a hidden set screw first
  • Don’t overtighten the retaining nut, as this can crack the housing
  • Don’t mix up cartridge orientation — it must sit exactly like the original
  • Don’t use metal tools directly on the ceramic disc surface
  • Don’t skip the leak check after reassembly
