Turn Off Water Supply & Remove Old Connector

Shut off the water supply to the cistern and flush to empty it completely. Carefully pull the toilet away from the wall to access the old connector at the outlet.
Take care: Old connectors can be brittle — ease the toilet away slowly rather than forcing it, to avoid cracking ceramic or spilling residual water.
Clean Toilet Outlet & Waste Pipe

Remove the old connector completely and wipe down both the toilet's outlet horn and the waste pipe opening, clearing away any old sealant, debris, or residue.
Fit New JKC Straight Connector

Push the new JKC Straight WC Pan Connector firmly and evenly onto the waste pipe outlet by hand until it sits snugly — no tools are required for this step.
Take care: Push evenly on all sides. If the connector doesn't slide on smoothly, don't force it — check for debris or misalignment first.
Reposition The Toilet

Carefully guide the toilet back into place so its outlet horn seats fully inside the connector, then check that it sits flat and level on the floor before securing.
Take care: An uneven or partially seated toilet is one of the most common causes of a leak after fitting — take a moment to check alignment before tightening anything.
Test For Leaks

Restore the water supply, flush the toilet a few times, and check closely around the base and connector for any signs of water or dampness before returning it to regular use.
